Management resource shortage

COACHING  - An HR position has become vacant and permanent hiring process is on-going internally but the selected internal candidate requires an in-take period including training & coaching for the role. An interim manager is called up on to assist and train/coach the internal candidate for a transition period, potentially in a "shadow" position.
TEMPORARY REPLACEMENT - A critical HR position is temporarily vacant due to exceptional circumstances (e.g. illness, social leave, assignment abroad or on a specific project...). The position imperatively needs to be filled in, in order to guarantee business continuity, until the incumbent's return.
TRANSITIONING - An HR position has become vacant and permanent hiring process is on-going (internally or externally). An interim manager is taking on the role during the search period for a suitable candidate. The interim manager may even be the one driving the search if wishable, and ensure the transition upon employment start of the finally selected candidate.
